Who can participate?

Our symposium invites all Master students, PhDs and Postdocs in Munich. Like last year we welcome also students from all over Germany to our symposium.

How many people can participate in the interact  2014?

The number of participants is limited to 400.

Is there a registration fee and how much is it?

Yes. The registration fee is 18 € (including snacks at the pre-event; lunch, dinner and coffee breaks at the main event and the famous goody bag).

How do I get to the symposium?

The pre-event will take place at the Deustches Museum and the main event will take place at the TUM downtown campus. Click here for more information.  

 

When can I check in?

You can check in at the pre-event or at the main event in the morning. Please come early to avoid queue!

Is food provided during the symposium?

We will serve snacks at the pre-event after the talk. Furthermore you will have lunch and dinner on the main event. Additionally, there will be coffee breaks during the day.

Do I have to submit my abstract during registration?

No, you can register and submit your abstract anytime. Only when you submit your abstract you have to choose if you want to present a poster or apply for a talk or both.

 

Do I have to submit an abstract, if I want to present a poster?

Yes, you also have to submit an abstract for the booklet. The maximal number of words for poster and talk abstracts are 200 and 250, respectively.

 

How can I submit my abstract?

Log in to your personal Contoo account and click on "Abstract" next to the "Interact 2014" conference.

 

When is the deadline for abstract submission?

Deadline for abstract submission is the 25th of January, 2014.

 

Are there prizes for the best posters and speakers?

Yes, both the best posters and the best speakers selected by the participants, will be awarded with prizes.

 

Can I attend without giving a poster or a talk?

Yes, you can, but don't miss this great opportunity to present your work to your peers and extend your network.

 

What size should my poster be?

We suggest DIN A0 portrait format (height: 118.9 cm, width: 84.1 cm) for your posters.

 

How long should my talk be?

The student talks will be 15 minutes plus 5 minutes questions.

 

When should I set up my poster?

The best time to set up your poster is between 8:00 and 8:45 just after checking in. We will provide sticky tape to mount your poster.
